California Highway Patrol
Santa Clarita resides in between major highways so it is crucial for our well being to be informed about who is protecting us on them. The California Highway Patrol will be participating in the Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show to do so. With a motto of “Safety, Security, and Service.” They are actively involved in not only protecting us from crime but also teaching us to protect ourselves.
This agency of law enforcement serves very simple but important roles. Their mission is to prevent loss of life, property damage, and injuries. They accomplish this by enforcing the California Vehicle Code and other laws. Next is to assist the community to promote safety and awareness of driving responsibilities, and assist other public agencies when appropriate. In a place like Santa Clarita, being in the Los Angeles area, handling traffic is very important.
The California Highway Patrol promotes safety by taking part in the management of this big movement of people and good. They even have a busy scale on the I5 and the 126. Protection is the priority for them. Protecting the public, their property, state employees, and the state’s infrastructure. Finally they complete these on going tasks, while increasing their efficiency and effectiveness within the departments.

California Highway Patrol Helps Out Our Youths
CHP runs programs to teach youths about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, promotes safe driving for all ages, and support victims of crimes among other community outreach. They understand that safety on the roads is not only their responsibility but that of everyone driving, they ask everyone to do their part by driving safely, reminding other of the responsibility of driving, mentoring young people about safety, and more.
The Commission Outreach and Media Relations (COMR) assist the public in receiving the information they need relating to any activities by the CHP. Keeping the public informed about their community participation, recruiting and public affairs is a prerequisite for them. This information and the information to be expected at the Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show is part of their modernization, efficiency, accountability and Transparency Act of 2005. They are committed to providing the highest level of safety security and safety we deserve in this community and in all of California.
