American Red Cross equips superb medical attention to a variety of areas including the Santa Clarita Valley as they prevent and alleviate human suffering while confronting emergencies.
They were founded in 1881 born out of an ambition to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield. It incorporates international and national capacity to prevent and alleviate human suffering, The American Red Cross promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace around the world. They mobilized through the power of a strong network of volunteers and the contribution of time, blood, and money to support lifesaving services and programs. They collaborate with more than 20,000 nurses and a variety of health professionals that bring relief to disaster victims. These individuals who serve in management or governing roles teach courses ranging from CPR/first aid to disaster preparedness, according to the American Red Cross.
The Santa Clarita based American Red Cross aspires to continue its humanitarianism by continuing to be active in the community to be prepared for disasters by having access to a safe environment, lifesaving technology, and blood products. They provide its residents with shelters that assure a safe place to stay, hot meals, and access to other support kits from trained volunteers.
During the aftermath of a disaster an Emergency Response Vehicle circulates throughout the affected communities to hand out food, relief supplies, and information. They distribute emergency supply kits that contain personal items such as a toothbrush, deodorant, and shampoo. They are equipped with tarps, rakes, shovels and trash bags to help people clean up their homes, so lives can be restored back to normal.
