Embracing all residents throughout Santa Clarita, the city welcomes you in coming to visit the libraries scattered throughout the valley. Striving to provide citizens with superb customer service in either one of the three SCV library branches or online, employees and volunteers at each Santa Clarita library aim to provide students and families with a stellar experience at one of their local Santa Clarita libraries.
Serving as the Library Board of Trustees, the Santa Clarita City Council oversees all concerns and goings-on of the libraries throughout the city. By setting the objective of becoming some of the best libraries for residents, the City Council/Library Board of Trustees work and exert themselves at providing clean and organized branches and buildings. In doing so, the Board has entrusted LSSI, a widely recognized library management company that provides cleaning, repair, and other managing services to all Santa Clarita branches.
Throughout the valley, there are three locations that serve Santa Clarita: the Jo Anne Darcy Library in Canyon Country, the Old Town Newhall Library, and the Valencia Library. While each location offers a wide array of books and other materials, each branch is also run by its own branch manager and assisted by staffs of helpful and greatly knowledgeable employees. While there are employees working at every location, the Santa Clarita Library community also welcomes residents of any age to join the literary community and assist in different events and plans that take place at any location. While adults can volunteer at any branch and work in clerical tasks, they can also assist in organizing materials as well as helping with some of the programs offered at the library. Teens who are 14 and above can also volunteer, dipping their hands in the library field and helping the community by assisting in cleaning, sorting, and helping with after school programs.
The SCV Library of course offers a wide selection of books for adults, teens, and children as well as DVDs, audio books, magazines, and more to check out. With thousands of visitors passing through the Santa Clarita Library community in the past year, the branches only wish to promote the tools and services that are provided through these branches.
