Though networks have modernized what it means to have a cell phone today, none have succeeded in being as widely recognized and endorsed as Verizon Wireless. Verizon provides an estimate of 119.4 million subscribers as of 2013, making it the largest mobile network operator in the United States.
Since the beginning of telecommunication, getting its start by the world renowned Alexander Graham Bell, the idea of the phone has been pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in technology. With over 140 years of evolving itself, the transmitting of speech to this day has consistently grown in use and molded itself to better the community’s access to wireless conversation.
Verizon Wireless – Most Reliable Network
If you think you don’t know who Verizon is, despite their countless advertisements on television and movie theater previews, you may be surprised you still recognize them by their company’s proud claim that they are “America’s largest and most reliable wireless network”.
With headquarters based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Verizon is spread through out the U.S. and covers over 300 million people. And with a collective 39 awards allotted to them in the years 2004-2009, it’s no wonder their name is so popular through out the world.
This aggregation got their start by being a joint enterprise of American telecommunications Bell Atlantic and British telecommunications Vodafone. This British public relations assemblage held 45% ownership over the company, with Verizon holding the remaining 55%.
You can expect great things to come from Verizon Wireless with their indefatigable team working to bigger and better their consumers’ products. Just in the last 3 years they have vastly expanded their electronic merchandise. In an announcement made on January 6, 2011 they stated their release for the first half of the year of 10 new LTE devices.
Verizon LTE Smartphones
These included: five smart phones, two net books, two tablets, and two MiFi hot spots. And to this day they are improving their corporation’s appearance by expanding their dominion by claiming title over their creations. In these coming months, they are devising to explicate their ownership by taking over the remaining hold Vodafone has over them by buying their stake at $130 billion.
This was announced to the public September 2, 2013 and they are expected to see it through by the first quarter of 2014.
