Residents can attend an open house event at Advanced Audiology this week to get a free hearing screening and receive education on the latest hearing aid technologies.
The event began Monday and is set to continue Tuesday, July 16 and Wednesday, July 17, with appointments needed to participate, according to Santa Clarita audiologist Nola Aronson.
“We will be happy to see anybody,” Aronson said. “You must have an appointment though.”

Not only are free hearing screenings part of the event, attendees can also learn from a representative from Starkey, the only all American-made hearing aid company in the country, according to Aronson.
“(Starkey) donates a portion of all their proceeds to all third-world countries and goes around fitting hearing devices in third-world countries (for) children,” Aronson said.
The Starkey Hearing Foundation also partners with hearing aid providers such as Advanced Audiology to offer the “Hear Now” program, which gives free hearing aids to low-income Americans that qualify, according to the website.
“We always try to help everybody,” Aronson said. “We have hearing devices for every budget and we do work with you to help you because hearing is so important.”
Hours for the open house event at Advanced Audiology are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a daily lunch break from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., according to Aronson.
