One of the included services is dental benefits. Cleanings, fluoride treatments, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions and dentures are all part of the comprehensive and preventative dental care that United Health Care Dental covers.

Other services offered by United Health Care include Vision, which can help plan holders save money on eyeglasses while protecting their eyesight.

The plan covers A yearly eye exam at no cost and members also get a prescription eyeglasses or contact lens allowance.

Just as vision benefits are essential to United Health Care holders, so are hearing benefits.

Most members receive annual hearing exams at no cost and they can save money on hundreds of name-brand hearing aids.

Another helpful resource plan holders can get is free medications with over-the-counter (OTC) credit. There are thousands of products to choose from, both name brands and generics.

Other United Health Care plans include a short medical plan that lasts a month.

A short-term plan with United Health Care can be helpful in a number of scenarios, such as being in between jobs and having to wait to begin a new job.

Other times, a short-term plan could be useful if someone is turning 26 and is coming off their parent’s insurance plan.

United Health Care also has Medicaid options, which is a way to get health care at a lower cost or sometimes at no cost at all.

The federal government guarantees specific health benefits to Medicaid recipients. Some states even provide additional benefits, such as hospital visits and stays, doctor’s office visits, prenatal care and delivery, nursing home services, home health services, early childhood screenings, and emergency medical transportation.
