The Santa Clarita Sierra Club is dedicated to the environment with an active hike/outing program and a long record of activism . All are welcome to our meetings and our many hikes . We are part of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club. Our primary goals are to protect the Santa Clara River, educate people to the wonders of our open spaces and improve the quality of life in the Santa Clarita Valley. We have a vision plan to achieve these goals. Please join our adventure as we preserve and enjoy our open spaces.

The goal of the Santa Clarita Sierra Club is to ensure Fifty years from today Santa Clarita will be a dynamic community of people excited about their quality of life, living in harmony with nature – respecting, protecting, and benefiting enormously from Santa Clarita’s remarkable natural resources. The environmental quality of life of these future citizens is even better than the one we experience today.
Future citizens of Santa Clarita value the efforts of today’s citizens for ensuring an ample supply of uncontaminated, drinkable water. Future citizens are vigilant in maintaining our river’s feeder streams and value our watershed and aquifers that play an important role in maintaining a sustainable supply of drinking water.
Sierra Club Angeles Chapter serves Outdoor Enthusiasts & Environmental Activists in SoCal. We lead more hikes and outdoor activities than any Chapter in the US. We have fought to protect California mountains, deserts, rivers, wetlands and coastal waters for 100+ years. We are working to improve local air quality, water supplies and energy choices.
The Santa Clarita Valley Group meets at 7:30 pm on the 3rd Thursday of every month, except August and December, in the upper level lounge at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 24901 Orchard Village Road, 1/2 block North of Lyons Street in Valencia. Quarterly meetings are held in January, April, July and November. Outings Committee meetings are held in February, June and October. Executive Committee meetings are held in other months.
