LifeTank
After disasters like Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy, public water systems were impacted, leaving thousands of people without access to clean water. Mick Benson realized the need for a better way to store water—something that would be maintenance free and ensure an available emergency water supply. He designed the LifeTank, in cooperation with Life Systems Group, Inc. This company was established to give life supporting products to those in need.
The LifeTank system is a single tank, storing either 80 or 120 gallons of water that acts as a high-pressure water system. The LifeTank hooks up to the existing water supply in the home; water automatically flows through the tank with normal household use. This allows little to no time for the water to become stagnant and requires no maintenance. If the water supply were to be contaminated, LifeTank can be isolated from contamination with the flip of a lever. Fresh water will be available for drinking or sanitation from the two spickets.

LifeTank Isolates Water From Contamination
This patent-pending system provides access to emergency water, the ability to isolate the emergency water from contamination, and the continuous flow and replenishment of freshwater without maintenance or filtration.
Traditionally, water barrels and drums have been used to store emergency water supplies. However, the LifeTank system is a more efficient, healthier, and easier method of water storage. Water stored in barrels or drums remains stagnant and starts to grow algae. Many people are unaware of how to store water and keep it clean. Water stored in the life tank continuously flows; algae cannot grow. No chemicals or bleach are necessary. The recommended shelf life of water stored in a drum is only six months. Because of the LifeTank’s flow-through technology, there is no need for replacement.
Santa Clarita has a history of fires, earthquakes, and floods. In the case of any emergency, ensure that you and your family have water stored with the LifeTank. With the help of the isolation mode, the LifeTank system can provide fresh water by isolating if from contamination from natural disasters (hurricanes, tornadoes, fires), or even an terrorist attack.
