KHTS Investigation Finds Public Records And Complaints Involving Home & Garden Show Exhibitor

The annual KHTS Home & Garden Show has built its reputation by bringing together hundreds of reputable businesses for Santa Clarita homeowners looking for products and services. With more than 400 exhibitors participating each year at Central Park, KHTS says maintaining the trust of attendees remains one of its highest priorities.

That commitment to consumer confidence prompted KHTS to conduct a detailed review after receiving complaints involving Helpie Kitchen & Bath Supplier, LLC, an exhibitor at the 2026 Home & Garden Show.

The complaints centered on David Forkosh and Leenoy Forkosh, who are associated with the company.

According to KHTS, the concerns escalated approximately two months after the event when David Forkosh and Leenoy Forkosh disputed their exhibitor payment through their credit card company, alleging the charge was fraudulent. KHTS strongly disputes that allegation, stating it fulfilled every obligation required under its exhibitor agreement and delivered all contracted advertising and promotional services.

Following the payment dispute, KHTS began researching publicly available records concerning David Forkosh and businesses connected to him.

Among the records reviewed was a 2010 California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) accusation identifying David Forkosh as a general partner of West Coast Remodeling. According to CSLB records, that company’s contractor license (No. 742137) had previously been revoked in 2004.

The same CSLB documents also associate Forkosh with Novatec Enterprise, whose contractor license (No. 588474) was suspended after failing to comply with bond-related obligations.

In addition, the Board’s accusation referenced contractor license No. 833083, alleging that Forkosh’s involvement in the licensed business had been concealed and that a mailbox rental location was used instead of a legitimate business address. Those issues were specifically identified in the CSLB proceedings.

KHTS also located other public records during its review.

The Better Business Bureau lists David Forkosh as the principal and business management contact for GMS Remodeling, a North Hollywood remodeling company. The BBB file for that business was opened in March 2015 and currently does not have a BBB rating.

Court records from San Mateo County show that in 2019, a contract dispute filed by Brian Moore against David Forkosh and Helpie Kitchen & Bath Supplier, LLC resulted in a default judgment. According to the court records, the judgment awarded $5,400 in damages along with $596 in court costs.

KHTS also found a contractor license for B Y Forkosh Construction in Calabasas. Public records identify other individuals as being associated with that company, and KHTS has not confirmed any relationship between those individuals and David Forkosh.

Before the Home & Garden Show took place, David Forkosh informed KHTS that he had ended a business relationship with LA Home Contractor, another exhibitor at the 2026 event. Representatives of LA Home Contractor also shared complaints with KHTS regarding David Forkosh.

KHTS further reports that Forkosh indicated in April that a new website for Helpie Kitchen & Bath Supplier, LLC would soon be available. As of this publication, KHTS was unable to locate an active company website, finding only a limited Facebook page for Helpie LLC.

KHTS encourages consumers to thoroughly investigate any contractor before signing a contract. That includes confirming the contractor’s current California license status, reviewing publicly available court records, checking consumer reviews, obtaining multiple bids, and verifying references.

While every business deserves to be evaluated on its current qualifications and performance, KHTS believes the combination of complaints it received, the credit card dispute following the Home & Garden Show, and the publicly available licensing and court records warrant careful consideration by anyone contemplating doing business with David Forkosh, Leenoy Forkosh, or Helpie Kitchen & Bath Supplier, LLC.
