With a background in the study of ancient civilizations and world religions and cultures as well as sacred geometry Charles Sherman brings a unique perspective to all of his art and jewelry and has been providing Santa Clarita Valley residents with his work for over 15 years. Greatly interested in the concept of infinity Sherman has been studying infinity sculptures in 2002, specifically the Mobius Ring which he has made many stunning pieces from. Primarily working with ceramics Sherman also has been known to use bronze, glass mosaic, aluminum, Lucite, and stainless steel to create his Mobius or “Infinity Ring” sculptures.

Taking his inspiration from religion, the natural world, and ancient cultures and civilizations Charles Sherman creates pieces big and small that are able to connect many different ideas and concepts together from religious text to natural phenomena Sherman has been providing Santa Clarita Valley residents with beautiful unique pieces of art and jewelry. Creating simple yet elegant forms, dedicated to “create with passion” Sherman is able to come up designs and concepts that bridge many different world together into a single piece. Sherman’s design process begins with a sketchbook drawing or clay maquette based on forms and shapes that he discovers through both conceptual methodologies and spiritual contemplation.
The Mobius Ring or Infinity Ring is a great inspiration to Charles Sherman as it is a form with no beginning and no ending, the bottom side becomes the top side and the inside becomes the outside. Sherman has created many unique Infinity Ring sculptures each different in their own way while all still maintaining the form of the Infinity Ring. Dedicated to his craft Sherman spends many hours working hard on these projects as due to the nature of their design collapse is always a risk during its creation, taking elements from ancient culture and religion and mixing it with a modern scientific form is the outcome of the difficult creation process making each piece unique and special.
